Champagne brunch $18.99 was a good value. $5 to split the dish if u don't buy anything else. Coffee was $4? But they brought a small pitcher so that was great. The other breakfast items on the menu were a bit pricy.

I've probably had 12+ meals here over the years over multiple stays. 3.5 stars, but rounding up because the staff seem courteous and professional, despite being understaffed and oftentimes multi-tasking a lot of things. Admittedly, I have pretty low expectations for a casino hotel's mainline diner/restaurant, but they did exceed them. At first site, their menu is a hodgepodge of different things that feels like they're trying to be too many things. There's American, Mexican, even a ramen bowl (what?) on the menu. That said, they do them all reasonably well. The ramen is definitely *not* authentic ramen, but if you it take as a vaguely Asian soupy noodle dish, then it's okay. Where they shine seems to be their fajitas and French onion soup. I noticed their highly-rated Steakhouse also has a French onion soup, so I'm wondering if that influences it to be so good. The onions were properly caramelized, and it seemed like something you'd get at a French bistro in Paris. As for the fajitas, I'm not claiming they're culturally authentic, but they come in a sizzling platter and are pretty good! Fish and Chips and Chicken Tenders are also standouts. I know, I know, how hard is it to deep-fry some meat and throw down some French fries? But still, they are tender and crispy in the right ways, and their presentation is good. Bathrooms: Back out into the casino, there's one to the left and one to the right, so you can't go wrong, either way! Or just ask for directions.

This review is for the Thursday Senior/Local Customers Menu at Cafe Del Soul, located inside of the Bally's Casino. We intentionally walked from our hotel for this meal; gave us a chance to walk the rest of the strip and stopped by some other businesses here and back. Meals at the cafe/quick stop part of casinos usually are not too good, so our expectations for this were pretty low...but as you can tell from the rating, the experience strongly exceeded it. We got seated right away by the hostess, and we let her know we were there for the Senior special, so she gave us that specific menu (which has less choices than the normal menu). Per the website, senior = 50+ (though the hostess informed us it was 55+). The prices on the menu are half off, which actually makes the meal the best value in the area iff the portions are the normal size AND the food is tasty. We intentionally ordered too much to finish, intending to either take it home if good or leaving it if not. - turkey club sandwich on sour dough: perfectly constructed. plenty of deli turkey meat, generous amount of bacon, sour dough nicely toasted. one of the better club sandwiches I've had (though if I had a choice, would have loved ham on one layer of the sandwich. came with onion rings, which were very good...large rings of sweet onion, battered and hot. - 10 oz bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel bun. cooked to medium, bun was fresh, and added bacon and cheddar was 50 cents extra each. It tasted exactly as one would expect with quality ingredients. - fish and chips. It was one large filet of cod, beer battered, served with good tartar sauce and malt vinegar. It came with a generous amount of cole slaw, similar to deli-style cole slaw from a grocery store (which is what I like). - the last two came with british style french fries: 'chips'. They were fine, a bit crisp on the outside. We had more than half the meals left over, so asked for to-go boxes to take back to the room for dinner. All of it will reheat well in a microwave or oven. Note there was a sign stating there was a $3 surcharge per meal for carry-out. The service was good. It took a bit of time for the waitress to get to us to take our order, so somebody else was taking care of providing beverages (good teamwork!). The dining area isn't too big, but doubt it would get really full. The check is provided at the table, but then you pay upfront with the cashier. Of course, it's inside of a casino so there is cigarette smoke present, but the cafe itself seemed smoke-free, and one can't blame the cafe for that. If you go Thursday, be sure to tip based on the pre-discount price. The staff deserves that.
